Recenzii
A go-to resource for teaching child development that is comprehensive and learner-centric. Incorporating the latest research and empirical studies, this evidence-based text also places a strong emphasis on real-life examples, practical applications, and other helpful pedagogical features which facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject and helps students to relate theoretical concepts to the real world. Crucially, Child Development acknowledges that the subject is influenced by cultural, social, and environmental factors; and incorporates examples and discussions that reflect these cultural variations. This approach will help students appreciate the multicultural dimensions of child development.
Child Development is an up-to-date book that covers key elements such as diversity, culture and technology without forgetting the conceptual side of the field and their key concepts. It is full of brilliant examples and useful resources.
Child Development is a modern textbook that weaves contextual and cultural considerations into every chapter. It goes beyond simply introducing core topics. Critically, everything is heavily embedded within cultural considerations, which is so important for today's undergraduate students who are increasingly outward looking and globally aware.
Child Development is a comprehensive guide which is thorough and culturally sensitive. With up-to-date research, the text is compiled well and written in a way students can understand. In a world where we expect that there is a lot of independent study, this text feels like it is committed to engaging students through the experience.
An innovative and in-depth exploration of development, Child Development includes international perspectives and is an interactive book that challenges and stimulates thinking and real-world application.
Child Development is a well-crafted, insightful and comprehensive book for Developmental Psychology and Child Psychology modules. With plenty of activities, videos and questions to make this text interactive, it also covers a diverse range of topics, encourages critical thinking, and interweaves research method, research evidence, and real-life examples throughout.
Child Development is a text that not only addresses general child development theories and research, but also provides context and explores different points of view allowing for more alignment with our culturally diverse student population.
Child Development is a comprehensive textbook which is very well-structured and covers a wide range of critical topics in developmental science. It has addressed cultural diversity very well throughout, using various up-to-date research. I would highly recommend this text to anyone teaching developmental psychology.
Child Development is a clearly written and contemporary text which will engage students and develop their critical evaluation skills. An accessible book that considers the complexities of development and provides evidence to support the cascade effects of developmental influences.
Child Development is a comprehensive core text for those studying child development. Covering all key aspects of child development and written in an accessible manner, the text is an excellent resource for both undergraduate students and masters students who are new to the subject area.
Child Development is a great introduction to developmental psychology. It is an attractive, accessible and engaging text, with many additional interactive and engaging activities.
Child Development is a breath of fresh air which really focuses on the core principles of development.
Child Development consists of well-crafted chapters, with logical sequence of core information interspersed with video content and comprehension checks. It has a good focus on dimensions of diversity through development.
Child Development offers a well-written and easy-to-follow introduction to core concepts and current trends in developmental psychology that incorporates theory, research and (clinical) application.
Child Development offers a thorough review of current literature in Developmental and Social Psychology which is presented in a dynamic and accessible way to engage the reader. I am excited about this book and would highly recommend to my students!
