The Child Fatality Review Quick-Reference is conveniently sized to fit in a pocket, purse, or briefcase, and is easily carried to a crime scene, courtroom, or hospital. All U.S. states and many other countries worldwide have child fatality review programs to determine if child fatalities were accidental, natural, or were possible homicides resulting from child abuse. This handbook details those programs currently in place and focuses on the most successful programs as models for implementation of new programs.

This publication is being developed to fill the void of information available on the topic of child fatality review teams. These teams are becoming more and more prevalent, yet broad information on how to best conduct these multidisciplinary reviews and investigations is lacking.
