Feldstein is best known as the main writer/editor of the EC comics line during the first half of the 1950s - and then as the editor of Mad Magazine for the first three decades of its existence. Yet many don't realise that he was an accomplished cartoonist who put his talents to good use; he created grotesque creatures and scenes of ghastly destruction with aplomb.
