Notă biografică
Philip's ability to weave a story will captivate the attention of the most seasoned reader. An author whose life has taken him from privilege, to despair, to redemption, Philip has been able to translate his journey from a failure of self-reliance, through the labyrinths of moral confusion, to his final redemption by "letting it all go." It is here that our author found, through faith, the peace and contentment that he enjoys today. Although a successful construction manager and acknowledged construction defect litigation witness, his personal life, nonetheless, was fraught with the ravages of alcohol, the feelings of imminent failure, and the discomfort of unrelenting self-doubt. There was no amount of success that could remedy it, nor any amount of failure that would release it. Not until he began sharing the inspired tales of Chowbingo with his wife, Diane, to help replace the childhood she was denied, did he begin to fill the emptiness from within his own void. Philip and Diane presently share their time between New Orleans and Southern California where they maintain two residences. California is native to Philip and the place where he enjoyed unreasonable highs and suffered unexpected lows. New Orleans, a city of history and imagination remains, for Philip, the magical place where he was able to write Chowbingo, a story of fantasy adventures and moral truths. Here Philip learned to take his characters from failure and confusion to peace and satisfaction; magical perhaps for Chowbingo, but realistic moral truths, for us, no matter that we are rich or poor, young or elderly.
