David Thomas, PhD (1983) in Islamic Studies, University of Lancaster, is Professor of Christianity and Islam and Nadir Dinshaw Professor of Inter Religious Relations at the University of Birmingham. Among his most recent works are The Polemical Works of ʿAlī al-Ṭabarī (Brill, 2016) and CMR vols 1-8, 10, 11 (Brill, 2009-17).
John Chesworth, PhD (2008) in Religious Studies, University of Birmingham, is Research Officer for Christian-Muslim Relations. A Bibliographical History 1500-1900 at the University of Birmingham. He has published on Christian-Muslim Relations in Africa and Europe, and co-edited The character of Christian-Muslim Encounter (Brill 2015) and CMR vols 6-8, 10, 11 (Brill, 2014-17).
