Is a Christian Marine a dichotomy, an oxymoron, or ever so natural for those branded Teufel Hunden by the German Army in World War I? Can a Devil Dog really be a Christian? If you look at a Marine back from a week long patrol with sunken eyes, mud and blood on his utilities, and a bit of stubble from having only shaved twice with cold water in the past week, you might say, "No way " Only when we look inside the shared training and experience of these leathernecks can we see that they know what other Christians took years to learn. Christianity for Marines is not a unique sort of faith. It is Christianity for some very unique individuals that we know as Marines.
