Growing up on the south side of Montgomery, Alabama, Cortez O'Neal oftentimes was coerced to make some desperate and difficult choices early in life. Cortez and Boonk met when they were young and became fast friends. Their hardened upbringing made them take the initiative to better their situation... One daunting night that initially started great ended catastrophically, with Boonk being murdered. That night ultimately changed Cortez's frame of mind. Now, Cortez felt obligated to carry on his partner's legacy, not to mention it was a major opportunity to cement his own... After the funeral, Boonk's family from Orlando, Florida extended Cortez an olive branch. Cortez took a grappling hold onto that branch, which enabled him to do the same for others. He understood the advantages of this opportunity and made shrewd business moves. Unfortunately, Cortez stepped on the sensitive toes, of some of Montgomery's elite officials... With total disregard for these public officials and their dubious attempts of extortion, Cortez continued to rely on his team to handle business. He had emerged as one of the top businessmen in the state. Well, at least until Po', a member of his clique, single-handedly set forth the destruction of the empire....
