Gheorghe Georgiana-Laura a dat nota:
Review for "Cigars of the Pharaoh" by Hergé: It's the fourth book from "The Adventures of Tintin" series created by the Belgian artist, Georges Rémi mostly known by his pen name, Hergé. Tintin is the main character of the story. He is a young reporter who always travels and solves mysteries along with his faithful dog, Snowy and the cranky Captain Haddock. The action takes place in Egypt, the Middle East and the Arabian Desert. The artist Hergé attracts his readers through his simple style and puns in the original French version. The readers will travel in different corners of the world and learn a lesson through every page they read. They will also find adventure, suspense and humor. Tintin represents courage, intelligence and determination, Snowy represents loyalty and Captain Haddock is the image of the cynical man, but who is friendly deep down. He is also the father figure and bodyguard since there are moments when he is worried about Tintin when the boy put a toe out of line and is in danger. Thomson and Thomson is the portrait of the authorities who are often forgetting about the details and the careful investigations which leads into wrongly accusing Tintin loads of times. The story focuses on Tintin whose troubles begin once he meets Dr. Sarcophagus and is wrongly accused of drug smuggling by the two detectives. Tintin decides to capture the real smugglers himself. Will he be able to solve the case before the police catches him? Adventure, travelling, bravery, intelligence, friendship and much more can be found in this thrilling story. Hergé along with René Goscinny and Peyo (Pierre Culliford) is one of the greatest comic artists in the world who will remain immortal in the art world through their unique styles and extraordinary worlds through which we can learn a lesson, but also laugh out loud. I recommend these books to readers 9+ and to adults too.
