Notă biografică
Dr Lewis, MD, FAAP, FAAN, is a pediatric neurologist at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia where he currently serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics. He has participated in the design and implementation of over 20 clinical trials for migraine in children and authored the American of Academy of Neurology Practice Parameters for the evaluation of the child with recurrent headache and for the pharmacological management of migraine in children and adolescents. He is active in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), serving on the Section of Neurology Board and relishes the opportunity speaking annually at the AAP National Conference Exhibition on the topic of headache. He is fundamentally a clinician-educator and is happiest in the clinic with a medical student on one hip and a resident on the other. His interest in headache began about 25 years ago and has been supported and encouraged by the incomparable, and ever young, Dr David Rothner from the Cleveland Clinic.
