Notă biografică
Like his protagonist, Hollan once pulled up anchor in Corpus Christi Bay, and set off in search of adventure and a new beginning. For three years, he sailed his patched-up 1967 Pearson Vanguard around the Caribbean and to parts of Central and South America. He might have sold his boat, but he's always sought out adventure-from salvage diving in the Bahamas to climbing many of Colorado's "fourteeners." These days, he does his exploring in a well-used pickup truck with a rooftop tent, exploring the less-traveled backroads of the U.S. and Canada with his wife and two spoiled rescue dogs.
