A tremendous amount of art produced by children is drawn and colored in crayon. Kids enjoy progressing, and children who once colored their projects in crayon will want to move on to the type of crafts that older children are participating in. Having a coloring book to aid in this progression will teach the child how the colored pencils work and what their limitations are. Coloring book form means that the child can color intricate drawings without having to draw the subject themselves.
