Rajshree Chandra is an academic, a teacher and an author. Her research interest and most of her writing is primarily at the intersection of political philosophy, law and politics. She is the author of two books, both on the politics of intellectual property rights. She has also written several political commentaries for newspapers and news portals. Chandra has received the UKERI (UK-India Research Initiative) award for research collaboration, the ICSSR post-doctoral award, the Australia India Institute's ELF award and the IWM (Institute of Human Sciences, Vienna) visiting fellowship. This book-a political biography of her grandfather, rendered through the prism of nationalist history-was made possible due to the New India Foundation Fellowship.
Rajshree Chandra is a professor of political science at Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi University, and is a senior visiting fellow at Centre for Policy Research.
