Recenzii
This amazingly valuable book, which presents objective documentation rather than subjective interpretation, is essential for all history collections.
Recommended for college and high-school libraries.
This quite interesting book explores the events of World War II by using contemporary, primary sources from both the Axis and Allied sides. Newspaper headlines, government documents and military statements, and the testimonies of people involved in or swept up in the war lend immediacy to historic events, and make it clear that the Allied victory was anything but inevitable. An introductory chapter examines events leading up to Germany's invasion of Poland, and a concluding chapter looks at the controversies surrounding the Nuremberg war trials.
