Notă biografică
GIDEON SAMID is a Managing Partner, D & G Sciences, McLean, Virginia. Previously, he served as Chief Engineer for the System Automation Corporation, Program Director for Research Inc., and Senior Project Engineer with Computer Sciences Corporation and Paz Oil Industries, and was responsible for engineering projects on behalf of Exxon, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the United States Department of Defense. Mr. Samid has developed original cost engineering methodologies, large-scale artificial intelligence systems, computerized training software, an automated cost engineering documentation system, and an advanced pattern recognition tool currently employed in estimating the cost of new technologies. The Pentagon recently adopted his methodologies for use in long-range force planning and accounting. The author of several publications and a member of the American Association of Cost Engineers, Mr. Samid received the B.Sc. degree (1967) in chemical (nuclear) engineering and M.Sc. degree (1976) in chemical engineering from the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology.
