Carmella Padilla is an award-winning journalist and author of numerous books including El Rancho de las Golondrinas: Living History in New Mexico's La Ciénega Valley, The Chile Chronicles: Tales of a New Mexico Harvest, and Low 'n Slow: Lowriding in New Mexico (published by Museum of New Mexico Press). Her articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Albuquerque Journal, Dallas Morning News, and other important publications.
