As I sat in his sunken living room glancing out of a nearby window, mesmerized by the evening sun as it was completing its descent, slowly disappearing into the tree-lined horizon, with only glimmers of light streaking through the pine needles, I knew that was a beautiful way to announce the end of the day. Turning my focus to the fireplace on his far wall, which was warming the entire room, I realized I had lost complete thought of the day's work. Gazing at the orange and yellow flames that appeared to jump from log to log, while listening to the crackle of the wood give way to the heat, combined with the smell of the outdoors, put me in a place where anyone in their right mind would love to be.
