Caracteristici
1. This is an excellent undergraduate textbook on conflict analysis and resolution2. There are 15 degree programs in the UK, which are either dual honors or single honors, courses on Conflict Studies. Conflict also features as modules in Politics and International Relations degrees3. The editors and authors are all from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, Washington DC and lecture on the key topics in the manuscript. They have therefore ensured that the textbook is divided into easy to use sections. Each chapter ends with a list of key words and discussion questions for the students to use.4. This textbook was first published when we were running down the social science list and as such I don't feel that it has performed as well as it should have donw. A second edition will really benefit from our new textbook design and having a proper textbook marketing campaign behind it.5.This second edition will contain two new chapters - one on globalization and one on the role of peace-keeping. Each current chapter will also be fully revised to contain up-to-date examples of conflict analysis and resolution.
