Micro scale deformation has received attention recently due to the rising demand for small scale materials. Size dependent strengthening has been measured during mechanical tests at small dimensions that have been still not well understood.In this study, mechanical tests on single phase fcc materials (copper and aluminum) were performed to investigate the mechanical behavior at micro and meso scales.
