Recenzii

The Constructive Therapies series is a 'home page' for clinicians who want to reprogram their treatment with depth and vitality. Take the opportunity to learn directly from the Masters. Practical and eminently readable. --Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D., Director, The Milton H. Erickson Foundation

This book is an excellent chance to catch up with what the foremost brief psychotherapists in the world are thinking about. Michael Hoyt interviews many of the authors....Like an astute coach of sport, he is keen on bringing to his readers the technical differences that make a difference.... Readers, beginner or experienced, are likely to find some clarity here for themselves. --James P. Gustafson, MD, School of Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison

This book is an excellent chance to catch up with what the foremost brief psychotherapists in the world are thinking about. Michael Hoyt interviews many of the authors, with his own precise interest in what they believe they are actually doing. Hoyt is like an astute coach of sport, who is keen on bringing to his readers the technical differences that make a difference. I especially appreciated his interviews with Michael White and Don Meichenbaum, which bring across the logic of these two approaches, each as sharp as a razor. Finally, I believe the reader will be grateful for the overview from Haim Omer, of the different languages, conversational, narrative and strategic, which make these skillful therapists quite different in mood, temper and emphasis. The reader, beginner or experienced, is likely to find some clarity here for him or herself. --James P. Gustafson, MD, Professor of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Michael Hoyt and his band of colleagues have done a brilliant job of presenting many innovations that should help clinicians make therapy more constructive and effective. Highly recommended! --Insoo Kim Berg, M.S.W.

Bringing together diverse authors and perspectives, this book provides an accessible introduction to a range of postmodern therapies. It has provided many unique and sparkling ideas to students in my family therapy class, and I have used chapters from it in other classes as well. --Jerry Gale, PhD, Director of MFT Program, Department of Child and Family Development, University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia
