An unusually comprehensive and authoritative book which creatively draws together new and established scholars to explore the many and growing approaches to this most important of subjects. This volume will prove invaluable to those teaching courses on terrorism and will stimulate lively discussion among scholars.
A powerful, authoritative, compelling volume on one of the world's major fields of research and analysis. A wide-ranging, rigorous and important book.
An ambitious textbook that provides a comprehensive and well-organized introduction to terrorism studies, containing contributions from a large number of leading scholars in the field. Contemporary Terrorism Studies covers an impressive range of topics and pays close attention to the key issues that drive our understanding of terrorism.
Given the vast expansion of terrorism studies, the need for an authoritative exegesis and assessment of the many new approaches, methodologies, and perspectives involving this highly contentious subject has become acute. Contemporary Terrorism Studies is thus a very timely, welcome, and immensely important contribution to the literature. Its editors, Diego Muro and Tim Wilson, have masterfully assembled a stellar cast of contributors to explore and examine contemporary research on terrorism in all its variegated dimensions. This book will become an essential reference work for scholars and students alike.
A wide-ranging and comprehensive work that covers the key issues of debate in terrorism studies, in an accessible and engaging form.
A thoughtful, well-designed book that equips students with both the conceptual depth and empirical evidence they need to develop into discerning scholars. The ability of the various authors to synthesise such complex debates is welcome for teachers and students alike.
