Notă biografică

Professor Chris Cooper is Dean of the Oxford Brookes Business School. He has more than twenty-five years experience in the tourism sector, beginning his career in market planning and research with the UK's largest tour operator, Thomson Travel, and he has since worked as a researcher and teacher in every region of the world. Today, Professor Cooper works with international agencies in tourism research and education, such as the European Union, the International Labour Organization, the OECD and ASEAN but primarily with the UN World Tourism Organization where he held the Chair of the UNWTO's Education and Science Council from 2005 - 2007. Professor C Michael Hall is Professor of Marketing at Canterbury University in New Zealand. He is also Docent in the Department of Geography, University of Oulu, Finland and a visiting professor at Linneaus University, Kalmar, Sweden; Sheffield Business School, UK; and the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Southern Cross University, Australia. He has longstanding teaching, publication and research interests in tourism, regional development and social/green marketing with particular emphasis on issues of place branding and marketing as well as conservation and environmental change, environmental history, event management, gastronomy, international business, regional studies and sustainable consumption.
