A valuable resource that can be used as a textbook for any graduate course dealing with electric motor control. It offers several problems at the end of each chapter and a rich bibliography for further studies. It is focused on permanent magnet machines... a very useful reference for engineers who deal with PM motor control. This is an advance book yet understandable for a wide range of readers and I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to expand his/her understanding on PMSM control.

Notă biografică

Sadegh Vaez-Zadeh received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada. He is a professor and Director of the Advanced Motion Systems Research Laboratory in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Tehran. His research interests over the past 20 years have focused on the control of electric motors. Vaez-Zadeh is an editor of several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion. He has received several domestic and international awards for his contributions to the field.
