Notă biografică

Thinking back to when I was a little girl I can't remember a time when I did not enjoy cooking. Instead of going outside to play, I would hang out in the kitchen with my Mom and watch her do her thing. My Mother is an excellent cook and I've learned a lot from her. I remember cutting a chicken for the first time at the age of thirteen, my Mother was in the hospital and my Aunt came by to see how we were doing. She showed me how to cut the chicken up, and boy! Am I glad she was there, because I did not have a clue as to what I was doing with that thing? After that, I was well on my way to handling things in the kitchen from that point on. I cooked my first dinner by myself. The menu was fried chicken, macaroni & cheese and peas. I was very nervous about what my siblings might say. I thought they would laugh in my face. Needless to say, they loved it and I have been cooking for them ever since that day. Of course, starting out I made a lot of mistakes, from burning up food to frying my thumb. Yes! I fried my thumb. That experience taught me a valuable lesson. The lesson was to be afraid of the hot oil, it's not your friend. Starting my catering business I made a lot of mistakes as well, but on a different level. I took classes, went online and researched and through trial and error got to this point. I'm still learning as I go along. It has taken me years to complete this book and actually gets it published. When I cook I don't measure, only when I try a new recipe. After I master the recipe I can then make it into my own by adding my flavor. This made writing the recipes a huge challenge for me. But with prayer, growth, trials, and tribulations...By God, I Did It! I don't claim to be a Biblical Scholar nor do I consider myself a Chef. But I am a Child of God, doing a work He has asked me to do. I am learning and growing as I go along through my life journey. We are all put here on earth for a reason. I pray you receive what is meant for you in this book, I am a self-taught cook seeking the Kingdom of God. Through this book, I am sharing with you the things that God has put on my heart to share with you." Cooking with Jesus" gives you a fresh new way of looking at food and the way we eat. Cooking with Jesus is more of a thought-provoking tool to help guide you to become more aware of our food choices and to get into the WORD!
