Descriere
What gives the human brain the creative ability that defines us all as individuals? Although the silicon version is hard on its heels, the brain remains the most remarkable computer in existence. Over a series of differently themed excursions into the workings of the mind, Michael Corballis leads us down the path of consciousness to explain how much scientists have truly learned about the mind during the last 50 years. Drawing on behavioural, cognitive and evolutionary neuroscience, this light-hearted and accessible guide also debunks popular misconceptions, such as that we use only 10% of the brain.
