Notă biografică

Marwa Hassaan is currently a lecturer in the Accounting Department at Mansoura Business School. She holds a PhD in accounting from Aston University, and Msc in Financial Accounting and Bsc in accounting from Mansoura University with Very Good with Honour Degree. Dr. Hassaan is a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and has 12 years of teaching experience in higher education in the UK and in the Middle East. She has been awarded the ARE Prime Minister's excellence award in 1999, Mansoura University's excellence award in 1999 and Mansoura Governorate award for distinction in 2000. She is a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) and of Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society. Marwa successfully completed many training courses at Nottingham University, Birmingham University and Aston University which includes Experimental Design, Structural Equation Modeling, IFRSs updates, Consultancy and Aston Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education. Marwa teaches various courses in Financial Accounting, International Accounting, Management Accounting and Auditing. Her research covers the governance and financial reporting practices. Other interests include compliance with IFRSs and other international best practices in emerging stock exchanges particularly in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
