This text provides a transcription of some 923 letters to and from Samuel Jones Loyd, Lord Overstone, between 1804 and 1883. Overstone maintained that he had destroyed his correspondence before he died. The editor's discovery of some 350 of them in 1964 now offers an understanding of Overstone.
