Countess Megan of Bondi

Autor Tibor Timothy Vajda
en Limba Engleză Paperback
Inspired by a true story, "Countess Megan of Bondi" is the fictional account of Megan, a young Australian girl who works at Athena Cafe, and Pal, a Hungarian immigrant boy. Pal waits for Megan outside the cafe one afternoon and presents her with a bouquet of flowers. A courtship soon begins, and, before learning much about each other, the two marry.

Secrets are gradually revealed through a series of unusual events. Megan accidentally discovers Pal's aristocratic background and his desire to provide an heir to his dynasty. After traveling to Hungary to receive his inheritance, criminals attack Pal and his brother Marton, and the couple leave the country empty-handed. Even though Pal suffers from a condition that makes him unlikely to father a child, Megan becomes pregnant with a son, Attila. Pal's misfortune continues, and an accident leaves him in need of dangerous surgery. His younger brother travels to Sydney to obtain a court order requiring Megan to relinquish Attila to him. Meanwhile, their associate Gergo is found slumped in a hut along with his lifeless son.

Who is Attila's natural father? In "Countess Megan of Bondi," the innocent passion of young lovers reaches beyond borders and barriers; however, the lovers soon discover they are not safe from the past--a past that ultimately threatens their happiness.
