Notă biografică
As a longstanding auditor and assessor, Kathy Rees brings her wide-ranging experience with directing and managing companies and services in the disability and human services sectors into her work. She is not interested in a standard 'tick-box' audit or assessment; instead, her passion is in strengthening the 'back of house' functions of an organisation so that it is better equipped to meet the needs of its clients, regardless of who they are or what they require. Kathy uses her knowledge and experience to work with organisations that aim to meet - and exceed - the Human Services Quality Standards and NDIS Practice Standards as well as ISO 9001:2015. This approach extends to her experience on the other side of the table in preparing for the audits of her Registered Training Organisation, as well as the audits of the service she managed for her disabled daughter for over twenty years. Kathy works with people who are interested in auditing as a career, as well as those who want further guidance as they commence on their auditor journey. She helps people to understand what is actually involved with being a professional and respected auditor and spends time demystifying the types of practices that the auditor will need to implement along the way. She is a speaker at conferences and seminars and runs workshops on auditing practices for people who want to know more. Kathy is an avid researcher and project manager who believes that an auditor's humour, optimism, and stewardship actively contribute towards purposeful outcomes for the organisations that they audit.
