My sketch journey began years ago as an undergraduate class challenge to "fill a sketchbook entirely" by semester's end. I was intimidated, but began to relish the task; soon the project morphed into an ongoing obsession/possession. Subsequently, I have carried on the tradition and I could say it has become my most prominent means of artistic expression throughout these many years. Here within these bound pages, I have dipped down into my doodle-wellspring, and "drew" them up into somewhat of a visual compendium. The sketches offered up here are divvied into sections that encompass similar knave inquiries: CRITTERS, FACES, PERSONAS, PLACES, & STORIES. As an afterthought, I wanted to breathe a bit of charlatanism into each "Asemic sketch" by attaching preposterous humorous captions...sampled flummoxed axioms...taunting utterances, and hopefully layer another expressive dimension to the nontextual hokum.
