Crave the Rose
Autor Nick Hollanden Limba Engleză Paperback – 17 ian 2020
Crave the Rose takes a fresh look at Anne, revealing a woman whose work was more radical than that of her sisters, and which is therefore as relevant today as it has ever been. Alongside a biography of Anne's remarkable, but tragically short, life, this book contains a comprehensive selection of first-person encounters with the Bront s from 19th-century newspapers and archives, giving a fresh insight into the real character of Anne and her family. Also contained exclusively within this landmark book is a newly-discovered essay by Anne Bront - what may well be the last words that she ever wrote, in print here for the first time.

Notă biografică
Nick Holland was born in Barnsley, UK, in 1971. He first encountered the Brontës when asked to read 'Wuthering Heights' during his first week at University; it was the beginning of a lifelong love for the writing family who have become synonymous with his native Yorkshire. He is now a renowned biographer, whose previous books include 'In Search of Anne Brontë' (2016) and 'Emily Brontë A Life in 20 Poems' (2017), both published by The History Press, as well as 'Aunt Branwell and the Brontë Legacy' (Pen & Sword, 2018). In 2016 he became the first author to complete a book signing in the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, and he has since given lectures on the Brontës nationwide.
