Crossing the Silver Bridge

Autor Pamela Middleton
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 2 aug 2010
This "simple" love story is not so simple after all. Anna and Joe were lovers for twelve years, but Anna was never quite able to commit. The book opens as Anna overhears Joe proposing to his new girlfriend, Caitlin. On a deeper level, Crossing the Silver Bridge delves into spiritual themes, including karma, reincarnation and what happens to us when we die. Once Anna hears Joe committing to another woman, she finally realizes how foolish she has been and wants Joe back. Unable to face seeing Joe with Caitlin, Anna moves to London. At Joe's wedding reception, he sees Anna and realizes he's still in love with her. They plan a life together once he can explain things to his new bride. But on the way home from the wedding, Anna is killed in a car accident. While Joe is grieving over Anna's loss and trying to make a go of his marriage, Anna is in a much better place. She has crossed over the Silver Bridge into heaven and is reunited with her beloved grandparents. Anna would be completely happy if only she could understand why she didn't marry Joe herself, when she had the chance. The question remains unanswered. That is, until Anna's spirit guide helps her to remember a past life. Pamela Middleton lives with her son in Stourbridge in the West Midlands of England, where her novel is set. Years ago she became fascinated with the works of 19th-century Austrian philosopher Rudolph Steiner, a spiritualist who believed in reincarnation and spiritual development. Thus, the seeds for her book were planted.Publisher's Web site: http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/CrossingTheSilverBridge.html
