When a religious leader is willing to secretly absorb the life from one victim to heal any paying client, or when his plans demand monstrous creations to be secretly loosed upon the populace in order to achieve his objectives of 'cleansing', he might, unknowingly, invoke the Laws of the Universe to take part in restoring the balance of existence. Kazi has barely survived the seemingly random attacks of mercenaries and crystal-enhanced animals that have destroyed his friends, village, and family. As he tries to recover from horrendous losses and attempts to lead a normal life, the Cosmic pushes events that pit him directly against Tyrus and the Temple of Kaal.
