This book tells the story of a beetle that disguises himself as a firefly in order to fit in a new environment. He hides his roots and true self, until he meets a boy who helps him face his fears. Together they learn the truths and consequences of their actions, and learn the real meaning of courage, determination, and patriotism. This book aims to create awareness of "what" and "who" constitutes our environment, our world, and our country. It also aims to help readers realize that everyone can become a catalyst of positive change by simply doing things the right way. This book also seeks to promote awareness of endangered species and their predators. A percentage of the proceeds of this book will be used to create and support programs and initiatives aimed to protect endangered species such as the U.S. Puerto Rican Boa, Click-Bettle ("cucubano"), Amazon Parrot, and the Leatherback Turtle; and other social and charitable causes.
