Notă biografică

R. Ian Freshney gained a B.Sc. (1960) and Ph.D. (1964) from Glasgow University, where he is on the faculty of Medical Oncology as a senior lecturer and an Honorary Senior Research Fellow. Dr. Freshney currently teaches a number of international basic and specialized cell culture courses, and his research interests include human tumor culture. He is the author of Culture of Animal Cells, a Manual of Basic Technique, and has edited numerous other books on specialized cell culture.

Roswitha Pfragner, Ph.D., studied biology at the University of Vienna, Austria and is currently a senior lecturer at the Institute of Pathophysiology. Her research interests include human neuroendocrine tumors, multiple endocrine neoplasia, drug resistance, apoptosis, and genetic events in tumorigenesis.
