Daily Devotions for Die-Hard Fans North Carolina Tar Heels

Autor Ed Mcminn
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 30 iun 2022
Daily Devotions for Die-Hard Fans: North Carolina Tar Heels combines the great passion of the Tar Heel fan with the grand passion of the fan of Christ in one set of devotions. The result is a book that is fun while it provides a time of reflection about God and your faith. One of Carolina's greatest scorers was so blind he couldn't see the basket. Larry Fedora and his coaches used a series of surprises against Virginia in 2014. No uniforms? No problem. Dean Smith just had the "B.V.D. Boys" practice in their underwear. It sounds impossible but UNC's Yael Averbuch scored a goal four seconds into a soccer match. Roy Williams used to help the Heels win by eating candy. These stories and more are recounted here. Also appearing are Michael Jordan, Marquise Williams, Ivory Latta, Phil Ford, "Choo Choo" Justice, Amos Lawrence, and many others. Their stories along with legendary games, improbable victories, and historical events are told with a twist: They are all tied to God's story.
