Daily Devotions for Die-Hard Fans Texas Tech Red Raiders

Autor Ed McMinn
en Limba Engleză Paperback
Daily Devotions for Die-Hard Fans: Texas Tech Red Raiders combines the great passion of the Tech fan with the grand passion of the fan of Christ in one set of devotions. The result is a book that is fun while it provides a time of reflection about God and your faith. Tech All-American defensive back Denton Fox had his first brush with fame in a Paul Newman movie. Darvin Ham made the cover of SI for doing something on the basketball court that had never been done before. QB Cody Hodges didn't see Joel Filani catch the TD pass with 12 seconds left but he knew Tech had won. Sally Kipyego, the greatest cross-country runner in college history, once ran a race to save a life and lost. A Tech head football coach once promised to work without pay if it would help keep the program alive. These stories and more are recounted here. Also appearing are Kliff Kingsbury, Spike Dykes, Wes Welker, Sheryl Swoopes, Mike Leach, Graham Harrell, Donny Anderson, and many others. Their stories along with legendary games, improbable victories, and historical events are told with a twist: They are all tied to God's story. Have fun! Have faith! Go Red Raiders! Go God!
