Sam and Juliet's plans for the school holidays unexpectedly change when they are sent to the country stay at Damson Heights, a residential home for the elderly. Their hopes of spending carefree days in the countryside fade soon after they arrive, as their Aunt Mildred instantly dislikes them and sets them to work in the gardens.
