Chaos strikes after Lucy Richardson and Connor McNeil's engagement party. At first they think the worse is over with after Lucy's former boyfriend and his overbearing mother turn up to try to ruin their engagement. However, after a body is found at the restaurant's kitchen door, Lucy is forced to investigate. Meanwhile, war breaks out in the Lighthouse Library between Charles the library cat and Fluffy the dog, who Lucy is tasked with caring for.
