Notă biografică

Ikeshia Capre was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She grew up in a single-parent home with her mother and her sister. She is 29 years old, and she currently works for a Child Protective Services Agency. Ikeshia obtained her Bachelor's degree from Kent State University in Human Development Family Studies with a concentration in Case Management, and she is currently pursuing her master's degree in Social Work at Case Western Reserve University located in Cleveland, Ohio. Ikeshia wrote her phenomenal story to reveal how she looked for love in all the wrong places, attempted suicide as a teenager, and lived with her mother who depended on the welfare system as a primary survival source. Ikeshia hopes her story will empower women who grew up without their fathers and prevent them from becoming a product of their environment. Moreover, she hopes they will use the guide to take a step into the right direction and be the woman God called them to be.
