Most entries list: date, time and cause of death, with assorted supplemental information concerning the life and family of the deceased. Information on the deceased often includes: date of birth and parents' names; names of surviving spouses, relatives and children; circumstances leading to death, such as disease, accidental injury, murder or execution; criminal records; religious affiliation; place of burial; and assorted anecdotes illustrating the roles of the deceased in their community.
