These lessons are published for use as an official document in the training of military and civilian personnel from all segments of the Department of Defense (DOD) and supporting agencies. It contains information based on specifications, standards, MIL-STD-2073-1C, Standard Practice for Military Packaging, and other pertinent documents. In keeping with the established preservation and packing policy, emphasis is placed on efficiency and economy in all preservation and packing operations. The use of this set of lessons will eliminate the need for the preparation of similar guides at separate installations
