High Priestess Naymar and her mentor Anim Taraya co-manage a mystical temple of healing hearts in northern Egypt, well over five thousand years ago. Lately, a strong foreboding has grown within the temple and all who live there feel it; the patrons have stopped coming and the temple population is distracted and far too quiet. The suspense ends however at the Full Moon, with the arrival of a young enemy soldier at their front gates. He pleads with the women to believe his recurring dream that foretells a harrowing fate, not only for the priestesses, but for nations as well. Will the women trust him enough to undertake the unthinkable in order to forestall catastrophe?
The Priestesses and their young informant have less than a day to act, and their only defenses are loving hearts and minds that together weave powerful healing magics. They decide to trust each other and form a pact; the threat is removed and everything can go back to normal. Or can it?
