The handbooks Dictionaries. An International Encyclopedia of Lexicography (Vol.5.1-3) are the basis for the Supplementary Volume. It presents new articles that take account of the practice-internal and theoretical developments of the last 15 years. Special attention has been given to lexicographic reference works, the theory of lexicography, lexicographic processes, new metalexicographic methods, electronic and, computer-assisted lexicography.
