Set in Sydney Australia, Scott is the best male dancer in the Ballet Company. He falls in love with Dominique, a beautiful violinist in the Symphony Orchestra. They fall in love, spending time sight-seeing and having fun. When they are both offered their dream career, Scott proposes. But Dominique's father has other plans for his daughter. When tragedy strikes, Scott faces a cold darkness he never saw coming, all the while comparing himself to Kafka's Gregor, who transmutated in the classic, Metamorphosis. His lawyer mother fights in vain for his freedom, but only one person finds the key to his freedom in the end. This is the first parable by Australian author, Andrea Kwast.
