Notă biografică

Dr. Jaishree Paul, Scientist "C", (currently retired) was associated with the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, for more  than thirty years. She was engaged in teaching Microbiology to post-graduate and pre-Ph.D. students. She was also actively engaged in research work in the field of Biomedical Sciences. She contributed chapters in several scholarly books on Microbiology and Medical Microbiology and has published more than fifty papers in peer-reviewed journals. She presented her research articles and chaired many sessions in national and international conferences. She supervised and guided several research students for their Ph.D. She is a recipient of international fellowships from FLU Foundation and EMBO. Her research topics of interest were molecular epidemiology of parasites infecting humans and unraveling the various facets of inflammatory bowel disease. Due to her outstanding research and teaching interests, she brings a unique perspective and expertise to the text of the present book.
