What do you do when the State begins knocking at your door in the small hours of the night? How far do you go when your family goes missing? At what point do you acquire the disposition to kill? When the nameless son's mother disappears against a backdrop of governmental threats and violence in their homeland, the only way to get answers is to look outward. Snubbed by bankrolling multinationals and liaising with shady underground characters for clues, the father and son follow a lost path until a twist of fate opens up an opportunity, but not without a cost. Alone and returning to the dangers of the home State, the son endures a struggle for identity, courage, and ultimately, faith. The true extent of hopelessness and vengeance wreaked by dystrophic officers of the night are illustrated in this young boy's quest for his mother, and the necessity to kill to survive.
