Diverse Faculty: Re-Shaping the Professoriate

Diverse Faculty takes a varied and interdisciplinary look at the issue of diversity in American academia, focusing on the intersections between race, ethnicity, social class, gender, and sexuality in hiring practices. The book includes the voices of female faculty of all races and ethnicities; faculty of color, including men, women, and transgender faculty; LGBTQ faculty; and faculty members originally from lower- and working-class backgrounds.
