Descriere
The focus of the book is on the growing interest in a particular kind of grassroots football initiatives in recent decades shown by politically left-leaning activist groups keen to take ownership of grassroots football, with diverse intentions. The book recounts in some detail how for these activists, grassroots football presents a variety of political, social and economic opportunities. This book was originally published as a special issue of Sport in Society.
