Days before the inauguration, a small-time comedian performs a stand-up routine against the incoming President, not realizing that one joke will so embarrasses Trump, that the future of America now hangs in the balance as a Purge is instituted as a result of his humiliation. The comedian must not only survive the Purge, but help other Americans survive as well.
