Professor Russell Ross believes he has discovered a primer in genetic evolution, a 3000 year-old remnant free of any known pathology. Ross' obsession to locate its host nearly costs him his life. Even worse, a sect of immortal renegades, the Techno-Wizards, breach the space-time continuum and land on Earth.
